About Us

The Emmanuel Foundation is a not-for-profit social services NGO headquartered in Bogor, Indonesia. It provides services and support to infants, handicapped children, malnourished children, and poverty-stricken communities. The Foundation helps 5,000 children and individuals each month through programmes focusing on education, homes and community services.


  • The Emmanuel Foundation supports over 5,000 children and individuals each month in DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Central Java Provinces, Indonesia.
  • In the past eight years, the foundation has increased resources provided to beneficiaries four hundred fold.
  • Since 2001, the Outreach Programme has provided more than 14,900 scholarships in 500 schools. More than 1,500 students have obtained high school diplomas and graduated, some of whom have continued onto tertiary education.
  • Since 2008, the Mobile Library Programme has provided access to more than 5,700 books for 84,000 children and adults in 10 schools and communities. More than 1,500 are now permanent, registered library members.
  • Since 2003, the Food Rescue Programme has collaborated with 18 four and five star hotels to provide more than a quarter of a million tons of food and more than 223,000 meals to children and individuals in 10 scavenger communities in Jakarta.
  • From 2003 to 2006 the Health Services Programme has provided free medical check-ups and medication to more than 25,000 patients.
  • Since December 2000, the Immanuel-Nicolas Orphanage Homes have provided shelter, care, and education to 42 orphans.
